Relating in some way to the work of the Churches and Christian Institutions in India was one of vital objectives of our Organisation.  It was agreed that the best way forward was to raise funds annually through members for   deserving projects in India. Our very first project was to revere the memory of Rev Dr C F Andrews whose birth centenary was being celebrated in India in 1972. Our contributions were sent to St Stephen's College, New Delhi and Shantiniketan Ashram with which he was associated. It is to the credit of successive committees that this aspect of their work has continued to flourish unabated.  In this the Organisation can have legitimate pride and satisfaction
